There are numerous ouzo taverns and cafes under the plane trees. On the eastern side of the beach is the neighborhood of Venus, where you can see the so-called 'fountain of love'. A local legend like the goddess Aphrodite bathed here. All the unmarried and widows come in spring, hoping that the blessed waters will help to find mates. Illegible ancient Greek inscription on a rock next to the source, allegedly belonging to the sanctuary of Asclepius who was here.

It is an imposing building with two towers. It was built in two phases (the 15th and 16th century) and was used mainly for housing the rulers of each city. After the release of Lepanto, in 1829, the tower was bought by General Souliote Notis Botsaris. Today belongs to Demetrius Noti Mpotsari and hosting an exhibition of copies of paintings, sketches and maps relating to the Battle of Lepanto. The tower is open daily 09.00 – 13.00, τηλ. 26340 29779.
Michael Cervantes had fought in the battle as a ship's officer "Marquise". On the west side of the harbor, the small park named after the Spanish writer and statue greets visitors. You will also see the marble slabs - tributes to battle fighters from the embassies of Spain, Croatia, the cities of Venice and the Austrian Ragkensmpourgk (birthplace of Admiral Don Juan).
In building "Nafpaktia" operates showroom-shop of the "Women's Cooperative Lepanto" (tel. 26340 24254, 6932195682). On the shelves you will find pasta, sweets, drinks and jams, all made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. The same building houses the Visitor Information Center.
